Description of position
Our Identity and Access Management team is looking for a developer that will be responsible for designing, coding, and supporting enterprise-wide Identity and Access tooling and/or applications. The development efforts will reside on-prem or in Azure. The ideal candidate will work within the company's development and project management methodologies.
 
Tasks and responsibilities
  • Designs, builds, and maintains efficient, reusable and reliant code for relational database applications
  • Designs and implements solutions into existing environments and designing business workflows to ensure proper application mapping/flow
  • Creates conceptual and detailed technical design documents
  • Provides accurate and timely estimates (work breakdown schedules)
  • Ensures the best possible performance, quality and responsiveness of applications
  • Documents and executes unit and integration tests
  • Defines and implements standards and best practices for software development
  • Participates in code review sessions as a coordinator, owner, reader, recorder or observer
  • Collaborates with Business Analysts, Solution Architects, Quality Assurance Analysts, and Software Developers in a DevOps model to extend the capabilities of the applications.
  • Provides 3rd-level application support for the IAM applications
  • Available for periodic off-hours work required including weekends and/or holidays
  • Assists in other areas of the department and company as necessary
 
Required skills, abilities, and certifications
  • Minimum 3 years experience with IBM Security Identity Manager
  • Minimum 2 years experience as a development lead on major projects utilizing a formal software development lifecycle
  • Working experience with JS,Java, HTML, CSS, and XML
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written, including ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management
  • Proven ability to manage priorities and timelines, with a focus on delivery
  • Must have high integrity, accountability, a positive attitude, and be willing to do what it takes to make the team successful
  • Working knowledge of Web Services technologies
  • Proficient working knowledge of code versioning tools
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented concepts and applied UML experience
  • Experience product extensions and interfaces to ensure proper functionality and integration with other systems
  • Familiarity with continuous integration and continuous deployment concepts and tooling
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other technical experts, develop solution and functional design documents to support development of final solutions, and provide project estimates and lead technical teams to consistently meet commitments
  • Must have proven ability to provide project estimates and work-breakdown schedules
  • Must be extremely responsive, able to work under pressure in crisis with a strong sense of urgency
  • Responsible, conscientious, organized, self-motivated and able to work with limited supervision
  • Must be detail-oriented and possess strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze for potential future issues
  • Strong understanding of identity life cycle management

  • Familiarity with Identity and Access Management architectures, solutions, and principles
  • Strong leadership and team building skills
  • Understanding of SCIM (System for Cross-domain Identity Management) standard for identity transfer
  • Experience delivering complex and scalable business driven solutions
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices for the full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Ability to share technical knowledge and clearly communicate technical concepts
  • Successful internal candidate will have spent one year or more on their current team
